Dr. Zarrett also shared with Cronkite News the valuable role that parents play in promoting female participation in sports. Dr. Zarrett, who co-authored a 2020 report published by the Women’s Sports Foundation, argues that parental support for female athletics participation is more critical than it is for males, given more limited support resources available to females.
